Roann has been acting for over a decade and has performed across the UK, from Edinburgh Fringe Assembly to Shakespeare’s Globe. They debuted at Shakespeare’s Globe in 2022, performing in Hannah Khalil’s Hakawatis. (The Arts Desk described her as ‘bright and boisterous.”) Three years later, Roann returned as a performer to the acclaimed Globe Theatre stage, appearing as Lady McDuff in Lucy Cuthbertson’s dynamic production of Macbeth (2025).

Roann is also a host and stand up and currently performs with No Direction Home, UK's first–and funniest–refugee comedy collective a (various UK venues); the Last Thursday Club and Hakaya (Soho Theatre).

“The show is worth seeing for their simmering sexual chemistry alone.” - The Guardian ****

As a host, Roann loves nothing more than getting a crowd riled up, removing any of that polite behaviour. Nothing sounds better than an audience laughing their heads off, freely expressing responses they had no idea they could collectively generate. Roann most enjoyed warming up 1500 audience members in Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, knowing it's what William would have wanted. Roann is often seen hosting panels with filmmakers (Rich Mix) and creatives on subjects such as 'resistance in the arts' and 'queer Arab stories,’ bringing their performance, facilitation style and expertise together.
